Lib Dem Candidate for South Wymondham

Carmina became Liberal Democrat Councillor for the South Norfolk Council Ward of South Wymondham at the by-election on 28th September 2023 to succeed the late Cllr Julian Halls.

Congratulations to Carmina McConnell on her election to the South Wymondham Ward of South Norfolk Council., succeeding the late Julian Halls

Carmina has served the community during 30 years in education, including 12 years as Assistant Headteacher at a local Secondary School.

She has been involved in community action groups; her husband Arnie is the founder of the Wymondham Community Outreach Project.

Carmina is a trained psychologist with a proven track record of training, personal coaching, and team building. Carmina wants to help Wymondham become ‘a truly supportive, caring and enriching community’ and is committed to championing a future-proofed infrastructure for Wymondham that safeguards the natural environment.

She says ‘I am particularly interested in promoting inclusivity at all levels within our community, whether access to learning and leisure services, physical access such as addressing the current disability restrictions at our rail station, or by supporting groups who serve the vulnerable. I feel it is vital that our Council demonstrates ethical leadership, and is pro-active in protecting our children’s futures.’
