Dave Roberts

Lib Dem Candidate for Wymondham South Ward (Town Council)

Dave was elected at the By-Election on 28th September 2023 to fill the vacancy on Wymondham Town Council caused by the death of Cllr Julian Halls

Dave Roberts was elected as a District Councillor in May for North Wymondham and has now also been elected to Wymondham Town Council candidate for South Wymondham ward  at the by-election on 28th September 2023 to succeed the late Julian Halls

He consistently engages with residents’ issues and achieves results, such as flagging up fly-tipping of asbestos, working to set up resident associations and alerting a housing developer to dangerous play equipment.

Dave is also chair of Wymondham Access Group, campaigning for step free access at the Station for many years. He has now secured a meeting with Network Rail and Greater Anglia this month in a bid to solve the problem. ‘As a disabled person and parent to a disabled child the lack of station access is paramount to my family,’ he says. ‘My family and me struggle to understand why in the 21st century a station is inaccessible. It is clear discrimination, but it’s not just us, it is elderly, visitors and cyclists, who all suffer at the lack of understanding by those with the power to change this”
