Julian Fulcher's Resignation statement

Cllr Fulcher was elected to Wymondham Town Council (Wymondham East Ward), and to South Norfolk Council (Mulbarton & Stoke Holy Cross Ward) in May.

Statement from Julian Fulcher following resignation as District councillor for Mulbarton & Stoke Holy Cross Ward

“It is with much regret that I have taken the difficult decision to stand down as a District councillor  for Mulbarton and Stoke Holy Cross. Due to unforeseen circumstances in my employment I was unable to take the flexible retirement option at work I had hoped for, meaning that I am still working full time.

I am also a councillor for Wymondham Town Council and due to the sad and unexpected passing of one of our colleagues there, I have had to step up my responsibilities including becoming the chair of the Finance Committee.

Therefore I felt I did not have the time to devote to actively representing the District area as the various parishes and communities rightly deserve.

I wish our Liberal Democrat candidate the best of luck for the upcoming election and hopefully becoming part of our hard-working local Lib Dem team.”

Regards,

Julian
