Trevor Wenman
Diss & Roydon area
Trevor as lived in Diss for over 30 years with his wife, Fiona and two (now grown up) children. He has been a Diss Town Councillor for a total of nine years, chaired several committees and was the first Mayor to be elected for two consecutive terms.
During this time, Trevor was instrumental in persuading the Town Council to take over the running of street lights in Diss to stop South Norfolk Council turning a third of them off. He has a special interest in planning and local government finance.
Trevor also fought a running battle with the Conservative-run South Norfolk Council who threatened to knock down the toilets at the Mere’s Mouth. Happily, the loos are still standing, and were eventually refurbished.
Trevor is now semi- retired as a local government officer but works part time job in a local supermarket. He is a member of Diss Baptist Church, and has a black and white cat who answers to the name of Louis Armstrong.
